Lay Delegates to Synod

 

Lay Delegates are elected annually at Vestry, the annual meeting of  the congregation. They attend the annual meeting (Synod) of all parishes in our diocese and also any special diocesan Synods, for example electing a bishop. Lay delegates vote on the motions brought forward at Synod. St. John’s currently has one lay delegate and one alternate. Lay Delegates may go on to attend both the Provincial and National Synods.
